What to Expect:
The Tours:
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED
Booking Must be done by our website! Our Drivers DO NOT ACCEPT CASH for seating! You are encouraged to tip our drivers and bartenders for their services but not as payment for the tour.
We Recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance to make sure you have a better chance of getting your desired tour time, but if the slot is open, BOOK IT ANYTIME! Before booking same day, please call us in advance to confirm.
Route Times: We operate 5:00pm-10:30pm Mon-Friday, 9:00am to 10:30pm, Saturday and 11:00am-10:30pm Sunday.
Standard start times are 9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 5:00pm, 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
(If a ride has a late start and we are responsible, your ride will be extended by that same amount of time. You are guaranteed 90 minutes minimum.)
Route:
We drive downtown and campus. We will take you where you want to go!
Covered Areas:
Campus and Downtown
(No roads that exceed a 30mph speed limit) They can be crossed but not driven down.
Special Events:
Please message us about your event and what it is you have in mind. We'd be more than happy to accommodate if we are not already booked!
Alcohol:
Bringing Alcohol is always only an option, obviously not a requirement. We have a tour time of 9:00 AM, substitute with Coffee! BYOB (Bring Your Own Beer or wine)
You can bring your beverages of choice, including alcohol. If you can premix, mixed drinks before hand, that saves us a lot of time on the road! All drinks must be consumed from foam or plastic cups, which we provide!
We Do provide a Cooler, Ice and Cups! Upon arrival we will place all drinks into our on board cooler. We do this to save space inside the bike so we can maneuver to each rider conveniently.
Any beverage remaining after the tour, will be returned to the owner. If there is open alcohol remaining, the alcohol will be sealed and placed in a State approved sealed alcohol bag for legal transportation home.
The server on each tour has the right and responsibility to restrict serving alcohol to any passenger that shows signs of over intoxication or inappropriate behavior.
Age Requirements:
Any adult, 18-years of age or older, may ride! Anyone between ages of 13-17 years of age may ride but must be accompanied by an adult or guardian that is able to accept responsibility for the underage person and is authorized to sign the Liability Waiver on their behalf.
All riders wishing to drink alcohol on board must be 21-years of age or older and must provide a valid form of ID to substantiate age.
What Not to Wear:
We do not recommend sandals, any type of open toe shoes, any shoes that are not firmly attached to your feet, or any type of shoes or boots that would impede your ability to pedal.
Any clothing that may impede your ability to pedal. (Over sized pants, tight pants, coats or dresses such any over sized coat or dress that drapes and could potentially get caught in the chain or something on the roadway etc..)
What to Bring:
Your able bodies, identification, beverages and a smile!
Parking:
Please use any meter parking you can find or you may use the "Hollywood Liquors” parking lot during open business hours. Otherwise there is metered parking (free after 5 pm) all around. We are not responsible for parking tickets or towing bills. DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT AROUND THE MEETING POINT ON CHESTNUT STREET! FAT CITY/ CITY CENTER WILL TOW YOUR VEHICLE!
Cancellations:
Weather Cancellations:
Illini Pubcycle LLC will not cancel tours for weather. If you wish to reschedule due too weather we must know a minimum of 2 hours in advance.
General Cancellations:
If you wish to completely cancel for any reason, a full cash refund of the purchase price of the ride will ONLY be available to those that purchased Tour Insurance. All cancellations made within 48 hours before your scheduled tour will be subject to a $100 Cancellation fee upon refund request. All cancellations made within 48 hours, regardless of reason shall be made by calling or texting us at 217-417-1570.
No Call, No Shows:
All no call, no shows are non-refundable. The end.
If your Group Tour, does not meet the minimum of 8 riders, it's considered a no show and your tour will be canceled and no refund will be given.
Tour Insurance:
We offer Tour insurance for just $25 at checkout upon scheduling your ride to compensate for refunds. Please read about our Tour insurance below. Purchasing it saves you a hassle in the event you have to cancel, we encourage you to purchase our tour insurance.
Other
Any other reason a tour does not commence on its scheduled time, will always by default result in a reschedule upon a date and time selected by you. Do not expect a refund to automatically process upon cancelling your tour on our website. All refunds must be requested by email or phone communication to verify whether you're looking to reschedule or proceed with a refund.
Tour Insurance:
Tour Insurance is $25.00 and prompted upon booking your ride. It grants you the option of a Cash Refund for the purchase price of the ride, on the occasion that the weather restricts the ride (heavy rains, severe cold, hail, thunderstorms, tornado). Cash refunds are not an option if Tour Insurance is not purchased. If you decide to not purchase the insurance, in the event you cannot complete the ride you will only be able to reschedule at a later open date.
Waiver:
A SIGNED LIABILITY WAIVER IS REQUIRED TO RIDE BY EACH INDIVIDUAL RIDING!
